The UN Security Council
(up to 11.11.11)
Old Membership in 2011
The old Council is composed of five permanent members — China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States — and ten non-permament members (with year of term's end):
Bosnia and Herzegovina (2011) Germany (2012) Portugal (2012)
Brazil (2011)
India (2012) South Africa (2012)
Colombia (2012) Lebanon (2011)
Gabon (2011) Nigeria (2011)
The General Assembly elected Colombia, Germany, India, Portugal and South Africa to serve as non-permanent members of the Security Council for two-year terms starting on 1 January 2011. The newly elected countries have replaced Austria, Japan, Mexico, Turkey and Uganda.
About the Council
The Presidency of the Security Council is held in turn by the members of the Security Council in the English alphabetical order of their names. Each President holds office for one calendar month.
Ten non-permament members, elected by the General Assembly for two-year terms and not eligible for immediate re-election. The number of non-permanent members was increased from six to ten by an amendment of the Charter which came into force in 1965.
Each Council member has one vote. Decisions on procedural matters are made by an affirmative vote of at least nine of the 15 members. Decisions on substantive matters require nine votes, including the concurring votes of all five permanent members. This is the rule of "great Power unanimity", often referred to as the "veto" power.
Under the Charter, all Members of the United Nations agree to accept and carry out the decisions of the Security Council.
While other organs of the United Nations make recommendations to Governments, the Council alone has the power to take decisions which Member States are obligated under the Charter to carry out.

I have not come to change the Old Law, but to fulfil it...
The greatest of the commandments are these: 'Love God with all your heart and soul and mind' and
'Love thy neighbour as thyself.' Love does no harm to its neighbour, therefore Love
is the
Fulfilment
of the Law

New Earth Security Council
(after 11.11.11)
Now Recruiting 144,000 Conscious Members
All you need to do to become a member is to accept the
Prime Directive - Let's All Be Really Nice To Each Other -
as a life-affirming meditation and actively put it into practise
in all your personal dealings.
The new Council is now in the process of forming a credible administration of 144,000 fully conscious people who are capable of working together to establish, protect and preserve the very highest standards in legislation, public administration and education for the greatest possible welfare and
protection of all living beings.
144,000 is not merely a quantity, but a velocity as well (light travels around the Earth at 144,000 minutes of arc, or 6.66 times per second) and thereby also a natural quality for all souls, a state of enlightenment, whereby we can very easily all work together for the common good without any need whatsoever for any kind of
burdensome administration.
World peace is being achieved at the speed
of enlightenment!
The New Earth Security Council needs your active participation to help succeed in making a smooth and peaceful transition from the previous UNsustainable, UNbalanced, UNrepresentative and industrially-dominated
UN Security Council.

'I Love You Anyway'
(A Universal Declaration of Unconditional Love)

"You, the people, have the right to announce to the whole world:
War is no longer an acceptable means of resolving our differences.
Let us now devise other ways of resolving them.”
Please Help Put An End To All Wars
Michael
Is there never to be an end to hostility and war on Earth?
Diana
If there has to be another war, let it not be against human
beings, let it be against ignorance, fear, violence, selfishness,
secrecy and greed. Let the leaders of the nations have the
courage to put it to their peoples.
Let the human race speak, for the first time in history.
Let there be a world Referendum:
“Which is it to be?
Endless war - or endless peace?”
Prepare yourselves, gentlemen:
there will be a landslide vote for endless peace...
